Does BlueRetro support multiple gamepad HID reports from one device? #1278

Hello! I'm working on a little side project to mod the NES Advantage with Bluetooth support. If you're not familiar with the NES Advantage it has a player selection switch that allows you to control either player 1 or player 2's control input with a selector switch. I implemented this by reporting two HID joysticks. This works great on my PC, I get two separate joystick devices as expected. Unfortunately with my RetroTime NES Hub (powered by BlueRetro) it is only seeing the first joystick. Does BlueRetro support a second gamepad HID report? Am I just missing some configuration option maybe? Appreciate any help / advice! I've attached a debug log if that helps. |

I guess the short answer is no. The longer one is that blueretro can handle up to 4 reports of different type (keyboard, mouse, gamepad & rumble) but they are all mapped to the same wired port output. So you can't have two gamepad report mapping to two different wired port. I'm not what would be the use case anyway? I can only think that would be useful for saving in Zelda. But then in blueretro config you could just map the 2nd player button onto the first BT controller. |
