Can blueretro autodetect controllers and set a config?

I just installed the LaserBear Gamecube blueretro internal mod. I have a 8bitdo SNES controller modkit that pairs just fine, but I want to remap the controls. My question is, is there a way to have a preset based on the controller itself, or do I have to re-configure every time I connect? If I reconfigure one controller, will that remap others? I'm pretty confused on how to go about doing this. Thanks.
