[Discussion] The Next Release of Databend Operator #12
Description
Currently, we plan to implement the following features in this release:
- Cluster Upgrade: Rolling update if image changes are detected.
- Cluster Scale: Scale out/in if replicas num is changed.
- Simple interactions between query and meta
These functionalities are simple and just a PoC work. We need to implement more features to make it a mature operator. Thus, the next release we decide to implement:
- Rich support for credential verification: OIDC & Assume Role.
- Multi-cluster support: Allow users to create multi-clusters in one Warehouse CR.
- HPA: Scale-in/out in cluster level.
- Certificate Management: TLS support in Ingress configurations.
We use this issue to track the discussions of the next release. If I omit some features, please let me know.
