Confusingly append example doesn't have more lines #369

How could the content be improved?
In the lesson example of append >>, when we show the append with the two files, it doesn't over write but it doesn't actually append anything because there are no bad reads in the 2nd file.
Would be good to have an example that adds lines.
This could be fixed when #230 were fixed or related issue #316
