User views Stats

  • confirm if the dashboard is what you want, if not, click on the text with the red underline, and then it will display the following:

  • Once you've selected your choice from the dropdown, it should load the full dashboard; then scroll down till you see this section:

  • click on View page and s..

  • this should lead you to pages and their number of visit users

  • if you scroll up you can filter based on date range. click on the red highlighted date range and then you will see the dropdown

  • also click on the share button with red circle above to download or send the report to someone

Download and most popular dataset

  • direct you mouse pointer to the left side to click on the explorer nav item

  • click on the blank page

  • click on Dimension and then select on Event and Page/Screen and in the dropdown click on the button as seen in the image below. after then click the Confirm button at the top right conner

  • Do thesame for Metrics:

  • click on Rows and then select Page path + query string

  • scroll down to value and select metrics

  • you should see some preview now

  • now lets filter based on downloads. scrol down to Filters and select Event Name

  • then select the following and apply

  • then you should see this:

  • from the above you can deduct the most downloaded dataset
  • now for most viewed dataset; let edit the filter; change resource_download to page_views

  • now we just want only dataset pages and not all pages , so we add a second filter

  • then update the filter to look for all dataset that starts with /dataset/

  • now you can see the metrics

  • All the analytics has been for the past 28 days , we can update that

  • I believe the max without error is last 90days, so I select that
  • click on this to export the data in various format

To get general stat of the portal.

Go back to the Home page of the dashboard and click on this:

  • click on View report snapshot

  • then you can see more general stats; active users, countries and the likes

  • click the share button on the right to download the stat
