Introducing AI Edge

A few weeks ago we asked: why shouldn’t every agent have its own global edge?

To help answer this question we’ve abstracted two underlying capabilities (our HTTPProxy and WAF) into a single “AI Edge” feature that protects and safely routes global internet traffic to backend services. It’s powered by Envoy and Coraza.

Deploying one (or a hundred!) takes just a few seconds.

Highlights

• When you create an AI Edge we set some helpful defaults
• This includes a WAF with OWASP Coraza rules applied and HTTPS
• You can now add multiple hostnames to your AI Edge
• We’ve made it easier to leverage previously verified domains
• We’ve added out of the box visibility to help understand what’s up:
  • A handy sparkline graph to quickly eyeball activity
  • A map to understand which Datum PoPs are being hit
  • Real time provisioning updates, including TLS status
  • Filterable metrics by region
