Error: invalid range 'ibm'

Hi, noob problem, but here we go. I have fluxengine & fluxengine-gui installed on Linux Mint 18, and I can get the GUI to read from my GW, but I cannot issue a write command. When I try to issue the command: fluxengine write -c ibm --1440 -d drive:0 -i *.img, I get a return error of 'Error: invalid range 'ibm''. Could someone please point me in the right direction as to what I'm doing wrong and how to correct it? Thanks in advance - Bud

The CLI syntax recently changed, and it looks like you're using the new syntax on an old binary. I'd suggest reinstalling to get a more recent version.

Ok, thank you - my system is old, and I don't know what a upgrade will require in regards to other software. What's the best way to uninstall from source, since I'm not seeing an uninstall file. Sorry for the ignorance in this area...

All you need to do is to delete the executable files --- there are no support files. Or just install the new version on top of it.

Ok, thank you for the help - really appreciate it. I am trying to upgrade, and have python version3.9. Running the 'make' command throws the error: TypeError: glob() got an unexpected keyword argument 'root_dir'. I am not a programmer - I see there are workarounds for this instead of upgrading to ver. 3.10, but am not sure how to implement them. Could you point me in the right direction so I can get this installed with python version 3.9? Thank you...

One last question, and I know you don't know what version I'm on, but could you give me some example syntax from previous versions on how to write an image - I can't find anything out there, and I must be doing something wrong with the cylinders and heads options...
