Support for markdown flavors (such as Quarto .qmd files)

They are text files that use Markdown as a baseline, such as Quarto. However, Quarto files have a .qmd extension. While it is possible to use the check as plain text, the sympathetic commands to ignore errors or suggest modifications are not available.

Do you know if it is possible to edit the json file of extension setting to make it consider .qmd files as .md files? I am guessing it would already help quite a bit.
