I was wondering whether ISUMAP has been considered as a potential addition to the library. From what I understand, ISUMAP introduces a geometry-preserving embedding strategy that appears to combine attractive aspects of global structure preservation with improved robustness compared to classical approaches.
Given topometry’s emphasis on intrinsic manifold structure and spectral / diffusion-based techniques, ISUMAP seems conceptually related and potentially complementary. In particular, it might be interesting in settings where capturing certain structural relationships or global organization is important.
