How well suited is this as a container init system?

openrc and s6 are occasionally used to create multi service docker containers. How well suited is dinit for this role?

Hi saolof.

Dinit is also capable of being a container service manager. See dinit(8) man-page and particularly --container option description in it.

-o, --container
Run in "container mode", i.e. do not perform system management functions (such as shutdown/reboot). The dinit daemon will simply exit rather than executing the shutdown program.

After compiling Dinit in your docker image, setup your services based on the documentation (see https://github.com/davmac314/dinit/blob/master/doc/getting_started.md if you're new to Dinit) and man-pages (start with dinit(8) and dinit-service(5))
