Thank you so much for sticking with scroll and sharing your thoughts—us regular users really appreciate how you keep this project going. I’ve been hoping for blur and other visual tweaks on scroll for so long, so scrollfx sounds like a dream come true for me—I’m already looking forward to seeing those features work in scrollwm. Also, totally agree the scrollwm org is a great call—it’ll make packaging way easier later. Fingers crossed mecattaf can smooth things out with the org, and we get to try those visual upgrades soon! |

Hey @dawsers I wanted to run an idea by you:
I took the liberty to set up a gh org called
scrollwm. If you are open to it, I would like to make you the owner of this org and transfer the repo to the organization. This would mirror how sway does it (github.com/swaywm/sway > github.com/scrollwm/scroll)This is relevant to me because of the project I am working on "scrollfx", a fork of scroll that incorporates the cosmetic features of swayfx on top of the scenefx renderer. You can find the progress so far here I hope to put in some time on it this week!
I would love it if we can have all this under the same umbrella. This would simplify fedora COPR packaging (a dedicated org) and other linux distro package managers.
Let me know what you think; happy to coordinate the details in whatever way is convenient to you.
Thank you for the sustained effort on scroll!
T
PS: Please do not see in this an attempt to push ScrollFX work on you :)
