Student Group Looking to Contribute – Issue Advice and Assignment Request

Hello,

We are a group of three software engineering students looking to contribute to DBeaver as part of a course assignment.

We are looking for an open issue that affects roughly 2–4 production code files and is scoped for about one month of work (roughly 40-50 hours total).

Does anyone have any recommendations for suitable issues? If so, how can we get the issue assigned to one of our group members so that it is reserved so no other dev solves it for the next month?
