Eclipse bash editor is a eclipse plugin which enables users to edit bash files (.sh) in eclipse IDE.

It can be directly installed by eclipse market place client or from website https://marketplace.eclipse.org/content/bash-editor. It has no special dependencies and works on Linux, Windows and Mac out of the box.

Drag to your running Eclipse* workspace. *Requires Eclipse Marketplace Client

  • Simple code completion (existing words + Bash and wellknown GNU commands)
  • Validation (Just a simple syntax validation)
  • Colors can be customized. Also additional defaults for dark theme exists.
  • Bracket switching (CTRL + p) + highlighting
  • Block commenting (CTRL + 7)
  • Auto bracket closing for [] and {}
  • Small plugin size
  • Works on Linux, Windows and Mac out of the box.
