How did you "break the stereo connection properly"? I bought one st10 that was previously paired with another device sold to someone else. I found a file named bco_needs_factory_reset in /mnt/nv - maybe this is related. I also had issues but no reboot-loop. |

I'll try the following now:
OK, after re-attaching the two ST10 devices to the BOSE servers, for each of these devices the BOSE app offers a configuration option to join them with another ST10 as stereo pair. One is then asked to select the left speaker and the right speaker form a list of all ST10 devices. Also, they need to be "between 2 and 6 meters distant from another" ==> Implication: There is a direct connection established between them. They are then properly joined. However, there is only one difference in the complete file system: For the speaker chosen as the right one, the 8th line in the file /run/NewMediaRenderer.xml reads So far, no evidence of anything different in the boxes. I have two ST10 coupled as stereo pair. I modified one of them without breaking the stereo connection before. This turned out to be disastrous, as the device then went into a reboot-loop. Nothing worked, I had to re-install the complete firmware from an USB stick.
After I broke the stereo connection properly, both devices could be modified as wanted.
However, I now have to different ST10-device. The question is: How can I reconnect them as a stereo pair when coupled to the soundcork server ?
