what is the performance of tesla p40 24G?

has anyone ever used tesla p40 24G for DP training? I am not sure if this GPU card is powerful to MD simulation with DP potential?
Or could you please recommend a GPU card for DPMD with thousands of atoms, about 2 ns?
Now I am using tesla v100, it is surely powerful but expensive.....
