NOTE: We know that there are additional questions being asked on some forms, "Place of release", Grade, rank or rating when separated from service" etc, but the most common questions being asked are the ones above. These additional questions would be added as part of the form.

I also want to connect on the content shown. The information is being pulled from DEERS which is the DoD, NOT the VA, and we want to make sure to direct the user to the proper channels as the VA does not control updating this information please and thank you.

What we currently show for correcting the information is:

We got this information from your VA.gov profile. Any changes you make in the following screens will affect only this specific form. If you want to correct the information in your VA.gov profile, you can call the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) at 800-538-9552 (TTY: 711). They’re available Monday through Friday (except federal holidays), 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET.

It sounds like we should change it to something like:

We got this information from your VA.gov profile. Any changes you make in the following screens will affect only this specific form. If you don’t think your military service information is correct, you can call the DMDC at 800-538-9552 (TTY: 711). They're available Monday through Friday (except federal holidays), 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET.

The initial sentence should still be correct, as is it will be the same information as the VA.gov profile. How important is the details about DEERS? It's long enough as is, and we don't want to have them miss crucial information.

It's more accurate, but it is also longer, so it may have to be edited and shortened.

Health Apps team. We have (2) forms asking for Service History: 10-10EZ Health Enrollment and 10-10EZR Health Benefit Update.

The questions ask is similar to the ones you listed but we ask for the most recent or last branch of service. The business only needs the latest service period.

In the EZR, we're at the early phase of developing an online version; exploring how we want the experience to flow. Initial thought is to have a List & Loop card displaying what is on record. If it is current, the user can confirm and continue. If outdated, we can provide the latest service period.

I believe we're looking for physical locations. Some of the forms ask for service start date and place entered active duty, as well as, service exit date and place left active service. It should be information from their DD214. @jfinnerty13

Not sure? Recommend checking out the API documentation for available data points, which might help :) the VA.gov profile connects to VA Profile's API which pulls from VADIR + DEERS + a few other sources. The LH API is another API that pulls from VADIR as well, but we currently do not use it. Currently VA.gov profile only shows branch, years of service, and duty status.
