contrib/rsync to localhost?

Is it possible to use rsync deployment to localhost?

I have defined a localhost host like this in deploy.php:

localhost()
    ->set('deploy_path', '~/PHP/TestDeploy');

The deployment starts fine but when the rsync part starts I get the following error message:

(The reason for wanting to do this is that I have an issue with the production deployment which I want to debug on my developer laptop with similar deployment configuration)
