Europe/France Design Systems Coalition

I've been speaking with Audrey Hacq (https://medium.com/@audreyhacq) about hosting a design systems meetup in Paris. She's done a few already, and had Nathan Curtis at a recent one. We have been thinking of making this a more regular thing. I know DSC has chapters in NYC and SF already, and would you be interested in creating a European/French branch that can start by hosting a few events in Paris and hopefully branch out from there?

Hi @sboak thanks for reaching out, it's great to see design systems meetups popping up around the world. You'll need to get in touch with @jina about officially calling it "Design Systems Coalition", see details here http://design.systems/coalition/

She is working on the approval process, but taking a look at the SF and NYC setup will help, such as having a code of conduct and commitment to diverse representation. I believe there are a couple of European based DSC meetups too—official and unofficial—so could be worth coordinating with them too.

Hi @broccolini and thank you very much for your answer. I'll contact Jina and ask her how to proceed.

Here are some questions I have:

• Do you know some people in the European community with whom I can get in touch?
• What are our responsibilities as an organizer (for example, should we do a specific number of events per year...)?
• Is each country free to organize what they want? Or should they refer to you and submit the subjects?
