JS code improvement (code refactor).

Hi, please allow me to replace the nested if/else checks in the main JS file with a more readable and accessible code as switch-case.
I've already done the changes but would like to pull the changes by opening an issue first to receive an approval by the developer of the changes I suggest and have done.
