Render HTML Map output in Streamlit

I tried to display the Map object using the as_html method in a Streamlit app but it appears that this method only renders the map as a static HTML output in IPython. Is there a way to display the map correctly in other environments?

The result of as_html is a standalone HTML webpage. For example you can save it to disk and open it up in your web browser as a standalone tab.

I don't know why it wouldn't work inside Streamlit; perhaps streamlit has very specific requirements as to the type of JS it supports. It looks like this might be a long standing issue: #248 (comment)
