Support for connection via TCP/IP

Hi

I'm running my servers with DNS resolve disabled, so the Mysql server ignores user entries in the form of user @ localhost. Also I have multiple Mysql instances running on different ports. So its required in my setup to use the parameters --host and --port to access the different servers.

Is this possible with your scripts?

Hi, sorry for the late answer.

No, it is not currently possible to use these scripts to backup a multi instance MySQL server.

It would need a few modifications to take in account new options such as --host and --port. These option should be passed to the underlying innobackupex command (https://www.percona.com/doc/percona-xtrabackup/2.3/innobackupex/innobackupex_option_reference.html).
