Description
Task summary
We have a documentation for IDEasy developers on Windows how to setup Ubuntu in WSL2 and then install IDEasy there to do Linux testing. This is currently in D3 but outdated.
This task is about rewriting an up-to-date guide of this in AsciiDoc and put it here in this GitHub repo in documentation folder as IDEasy-testing-linux-on-windows.adoc.
Additional context
Xnc is no longer required (was from WSL1) and therefore guide can be simplified:
- ensure WSL2 is installed and working
- install Ubuntu from MS store
- Open Ubuntu inside MS Terminal
- download latest IDEasy for Linux inside Ubunutu
- run the setup
- install IDEasy itself
- run Intellij and setup codebase just like in Windows
