Investigate customization of sitemap

One possible solution to the older events bubbling higher than newer events would be to remove the older events homepages from the sitemap.

I think before anyone can tackle this, we need a more explicit description in this issue of what problem we're trying to solve?

The problem we are trying to solve is that 2017 DevOpsDays $CITY comes up higher in search results than 2018 DevOpsDays $CITY sometimes.

My theory was we might be able to modify the sitemap so the older events homepages aren't in there. But then they wouldn't be indexed by google. This might not be a good idea. Needs research.

Ah. So I think a more general solution is an overlay on all old pages saying "you're looking at a past year. The newest is here." I end up doing that manually for Minneapolis a lot.
