Description
Sometimes they are called robots, sometimes they are called digital assistants but what it really is - is just software.
Problem
Manual processes are required in a trizillion different work flows, and that philosophy is that if it's repetitive end digital by nature it should be programmed.
Solution
Often the solution is to find a way into and API or a CLI and then start organizing the data required to do the work flow in configurations, functions, extensions, authentications etc, and then stitch it all together and have it triggered by real-world events. We have solved these kind of problems a trizillion times over - and it's still fun! Take a dull manual repetitive work flow, and make it go away with a small script!
