Randomized checking on SBC's

Hello all,
I run change detection on my pi with 4gb of RAM. Whenever my pi runs into issues/crashes or whatever, and i reboot hours later, all changedetection lines recheck simoultaniously. When all lines check at the same time, changedetection does limit the amount of lines it seems (at least the UI is telling me only 8 lines or so are being checked), however, this is still too much for my Pi and the memory fills up giving other containers significant problems and also giving a lot of playwright errors. Is there a setting that I can tweak either:

• limiting RAM usage,
• limiting the amount of lines that are being checked simoultaniously (is this a 'fetch worker' Can configure scanning of web pages one by one? #3008?, if so, is it just as simple as adding an environment variable: - FETCH_WORKERS=1. I've searched the files for 'workers' but can't find a hint of how to set it up.)
• randomizing all 'last checked' to different values in order to spread the load that way (dont you dare)
