Things Dimension does for you automatically, before you even ask.

Dimension doesn't just wait for you to ask — it works in the background across your connected tools to surface what matters, draft responses, and prepare you for your day.

You can toggle each proactive feature on or off individually in Settings > Preference > Background Agents.

Morning Briefing

Every morning, Dimension prepares a personalized briefing with:

  • Weather for your location
  • Your schedule — meetings, deep work windows, and personal plans at a glance
  • What needs your attention across email, Slack, and calendar

The briefing appears on your home screen when you open Dimension.

Catch Up

Dimension summarizes what you missed across three tabs:

  • Email — Unread emails with AI-generated thread summaries and draft replies ready to send
  • Slack — Unread messages with thread summaries and suggested responses
  • Meetings — Upcoming meetings with attendee details and prep notes

Each item comes with a pre-drafted reply that you can edit and send directly.

AI Inbox

Dimension automatically manages your email in the background:

  • Auto-tagging — Emails are categorized and labeled automatically
  • Auto-drafting — Responses are drafted in your tone, ready for you to review and send

Meeting Prep

Before each meeting, Dimension pulls context from your connected tools and generates prep notes — what the meeting is about, relevant documents, and key context from previous conversations. You can share prep notes with attendees directly.

Action Items

Dimension scans your email, Slack, and calendar for urgent items and notifies you so nothing falls through the cracks.

Evening Recap

A summary of your day — what happened, what got done, and what's left.

Todos

Dimension suggests action items by scanning your email, Slack, calendar, Linear, and GitHub. You can:

  • Add a suggestion as a todo
  • Dismiss suggestions you don't need
  • Assign a todo to Dimension — it creates a background thread and works through the task autonomously, notifying you when it's done or if it needs your input

Meeting Notes

Coming soon — an AI note-taker that joins your meetings, captures what was discussed, and follows up on action items.

Managing these features

You can turn each background agent on or off individually in Settings > Preference > Background Agents. The available toggles are:

  • Action Items
  • Evening Recap
  • Morning Briefing
  • Email Tagging
  • Email Auto-Drafting
  • Meeting Prep
