APRS/Direwolf Integration

While working on a self-contained APRS mapping solution I stumbled on this project and have been enjoying running it.  

I'm considering refocusing on adding APRS support to this project, adding an APRS module or more minimally a "Show APRS stations on ADSB Map" option. 

Any advice, pointers to previous discussions, or attempts would be appreciated!
