Message component for user text input

I'm proposing a message component where users can input raw text. This could be useful for things like interactive setups where you want users to input certain text as you go along. Somewhat related to this, see #3357

This would be a great addition to have because of the intents change. This way, bots can still accept certain user input without compromising the privacy of having bots reading messages.

No they cannot. Please stop spreading misinformation. Discord intentionally did not make text inputs available inside messages, to prevent moving input boxes due to scrolling and message deletions. Text inputs can only be used inside modals, and that seems likely to hold true for the foreseeable future.

This is more than likely to avoid fragmenting what's already a pretty shattered documentation structure, as well as how these are probably handled internally. For all intents and purposes, text inputs are just a component like any other, with some restrictions. They have a type (4), custom_id, etc, and given it's currently the only component that isn't/can't be attached to a message, it simply doesn't make sense to slap this into it's own section.

afaik, Discord denied it because it will have bad UX (Discord said Imagine Textbox moves by message while you are typing)

Yea, but I don't notice it if you are editing a message, I only see my own edits.
Unlike commands, messages can be public, resulting in me having to deal with your textbox
I understand Discord's decision personally
