Allow Custom Error Messages

Allow Developers to create a custom error message. So in the event of an issue/error, the bot would respond with a custom error message rather then 'The application did not respond' or 'Unknown Interaction'

In the case of an error, you should be fine by just sending a regular response saying there was an error. I don't think this requires a special response type.

I don't see why you couldn't let the user choose the default error message or you error messages 🤷
and then tell if it's from the bot or discord.

If they look different, it's immediately clear. That is, in my opinion, better than the client having to explicitly show it.

Context menus currently don't have any error responses that work consistently. Which is a general issue with the way they were implemented, and something that needs to be addressed regardless. Context menus in general have a very bad user experience already, not having a way to respond with an error is part of the problem there.

For context menus you should be able to just send a regular response already, like you do with slash commands and other interactions.

If the user is scrolled back far enough (around 50 messages), the client will no longer show ephemeral messages.

I don't want to explain this over and over, you cannot reliably present error responses for context menus and components due to chat scroll state issues. Please stop arguing for worse user experience.

You said it didn't have "any error responses that work consistently", I interpreted that to be a different problem than the one mentioned earlier. I do see your point that there isn't a great way to present errors for context menu commands, and I agree it should be solved, but that seems to me like a different problem to the one discussed here, and one that should have its own discussion.
