Disabling markdown parsing

Could a way to disable markdown parsing please be added, so custom regex solutions to escape markdown aren't needed?

Isn't that what codeblocks are for?

Yeah, a code block could work, but I'm not wanting to use it in some places (like embed fields and descriptions), and I can't use it in other places (like embed titles).
