The removal of the verified bot developer badge has left many developers feeling unsupported and unappreciated. While Discord has provided some perks and advantages for verified bot developers in the past, it's important to consider introducing new features or perks that provide additional recognition and validation for their contributions. I suggest that Discord introduces new badges or access to exclusive APIs or tools to verified bot developers, which would encourage them to continue creating innovative and engaging bots for the Discord community. These features would not only benefit developers but also contribute to the overall growth and success of the Discord platform. As we all know, Discord has become one of the most popular communication platforms on the internet, and it's essential that we provide ongoing support and recognition for the bot developers that help make it successful. By listening to feedback from the community and providing new features and perks for verified bot developers, we can foster a thriving community and continue to make Discord the best platform it can be. The badge has been removed for around 3 years - August 2020 if I remember correctly - it's not really recent which means your feedback has already been suggested lots of times and they have responded to them. They have removed it and explained their reasoning behind it, it won't come back. See #1991 (thanks @TwilightZebby - I was searching for that) The Active Developer badge is now being given to everyone that may want it if they meet the criteria to get it.
No perks nor advantages have been given to developers at all, at least from my experience while having the badge. Only the bot received the verified tick and the ability to join more than the 100 servers limit. |
