Embed#type deprecation status

Hey folks!

I was wondering whether embed#type is still to be considered deprecated.
Our project requires this field to render embeds, and we're unsure what else we would have to use in order to identify the kinds of embeds. (github)
If this is still going to be removed, I would humbly like to ask to reconsider, as it would cripple our renderer unless there's alternative means to achieve embed classification.
If this deprecation notice is no longer applicable, I would like explicit and official approval to remove the deprecation notice.
