Generating and displaying MaxObjects can slow the FrontEnd

patch["Boxes"] (* slow to generate and display *)
patch["Lines"]

Maybe ot would help creating a n object for boxes and lines? That's kind of overhead though, ideally some kind of caching would happen. That helps with 'generation' but the FrontEnd will still get gunked up.
