Efficiently generating a PNG file programatically

Is there a way I can generate a new image file using an array of MagickColors or something like that?

I'm currently writing the pixels one by one and it's ridiculously slow.

It would be more efficient to use the SetArea method of the PixelCollection instead of doing this pixel by pixel.
