Values in demo are not updated when unit is changed

When I enter some number into one of the fields of the demo program and then change the unit to something else, I'd expect the displayed value to change accordingly but actually the displayed value never changes. I debuged the problem so far that I can say that the unit conversion is triggered and internally the correct new value is computed but the ouput field is never updated. I don't know why.
