Use docling with Source Code Base

Hello everyone!
I´m working on a project and my ideas is to use docling to "parse" this source code and query it latter.
Does anyone have already used docling for this propose?
Ideally I would like to use the source code "as is" but I´m not sure it it will be parsed by docling. Alternatively I can convert the source code to json or markdown, but this is an extra step.
