Is adding custom filetypes supported?

If I want to add a custom filetype (say .rtf), is that supported by plugins?

At the moment this would require a contribution to the main Docling code. A new format type like .rtf should be pretty straight forward, if you are willing to contribute a PR we will happily review it.
