Yes, but I was using Bedrock solely to leverage LLMs. In our project, we're not permitted to use local LLMs. |

I think this package could be made an actual plugin. See https://docling-project.github.io/docling/concepts/plugins/ and for example how the default plugins are registered in https://github.com/docling-project/docling/blob/main/docling/models/plugins/defaults.py. Once it is registered, users could use it directly from the |

Hi everyone,
While working with Docling for parsing PDFs, Word documents, and PPTX files, I noticed that image description functionality requires a locally hosted LLM server with OpenAI-compatible endpoints. Also, for API integration, it currently seems to primarily support Azure.
To help address this, I created a plugin that enables similar functionality using Amazon Bedrock. You can check it out here: https://github.com/Slayer412/docling-bedrock-plugin/
I'd love to hear your feedback and see if this could be a useful addition to Docling or its ecosystem.
