Is there any chance to rewrite the accessibilityLabel and other accessibility props? It announces by default: "Slide 1 of 2 undefined", but I don't need this. I need to announce only when I manually change slides.

Yes, you can now customize the accessibilityLabel and other accessibility props for pagination items. Recent updates added a carouselName prop and allow you to set accessibilityLabel for each PaginationItem, so you can avoid the default "Slide 1 of 2 undefined" announcement by providing a meaningful carouselName or your own label logic. However, the component still announces each pagination item by default; if you want announcements only on manual slide changes, you’ll need to manage this with custom logic—such as using React state and useEffect to control when accessibility props update, as discussed in recent threads and shown in the component code.

There’s no built-in way to announce only on manual changes, but you can fork or extend the component to update accessibilityLabel only when you want. For more details, see the merged PRs that added these features: PR #832 and PR #834.
