Is there a built-in way to get all possible patches from a .docx template document?

I saved a template document to the database, but later this template would be used as a 'base' for other documents. The problem I found is that each time a new template is uploaded, it is also required for me to manually set up the possible patches and keys to a database field.

Is there a built-in way for this to process the .docx and get all possible patches?

For example:

• Uploaded file with additional metadata (one field is the possible properties/keys/patches)
• Saved the file (e.g. to GridFS) and set the metadata
