Build system

A simple build system should feature options for building application for release & debug mode. The projects that are CMake or Make projects should be automatically parsed for faster setting up the workflow.

Should these be just shortcuts to build commands?
I.e. should it be like something that Geany uses, which is that you enter a command that you want to execute when running the "build" action, and then just execute the command when pressing the button? Or should it be more automatized than that, e.g. since CMake is mainly just make and sudo make install, maybe just those two commands should be present, or something like that?
