The npx command is unix only

Running the npx command on Windows prints a confusing "The System cannot find the path specified" error message.
Any objections to using https://www.npmjs.com/package/open instead?

I want to help with this issue! If we were to use open that would also mean switching to using Node.js rather than Shell.
