[Linux] cross-distro software package distribution via AppImage/Flatpak

Trying to get individual packages for each individual distro sucks hot shit. Which ports/tools are doing distribution the right way?

Woof, DSDA, UZDoom all have AppImages.

Odamex has an official Flatpak, but no AppImage.

Helion ships a "self-contained" build, with shared libs within.

Chocolate/Crispy, EDGE-Classic and DoomRetro are all missing official Linux package from the GitHub page entirely, in their latest releases as of the time of writing.

Doom Retro doesn't officially support Linux, so it should IMO be excluded from this discussion.
