Graphql codegen does not have any output

Problem

Running pnpm graphql-codegen does nothing. No errors, and no files generated at all.

Reproduction

Reference repository: https://github.com/IgnisDa/bookius

• git clone https://github.com/IgnisDa/bookius
• pnpm install --frozen-lockfile
• Create an .env file in project root (you might have to adjust these to your system's setup)

  REDIS_URL="redis://localhost:6379"
  DATABASE_URL="postgresql://developr@localhost"
  NEXT_PUBLIC_GRAPHQL_API=http://localhost:8000/graphql
  

• npx nx run model:generate
• npx nx serve server
• pnpm graphql-codegen

The above command does not have output at all.

Further investigation

• I have another repository with a working graphql codegen setup. The contents of node_modules/graphql-codegen/lib/cli.js seem to be different from what the above's repository is, even though they both have @graphql-codegen/[email protected].

• This is not a pnpm problem since the problem is the same with yarn too.

• Upgrading to graphql version 16 also has no effect.

Turns out I had this package installed in my workspace, which was conflicting with the graphql-codegen binary provided by graphql-code-generator.
