chaptor 9 progressive web app does not work

I'm following this tutorial and in chapter 9 the javascript file doesn't do anything. I always get an error in the console.

even if I launch the finished project that comes with this repo I get the same error.

Hi, I have the very same problem, FYI I use edge as brower,
here is what I did:

click these button, select it in right order, just like chatper 9 tutorial says.

and u will get what you want
