Is it possible to make the Webserver listen to IPv6 as well

Hi 'am currently trying to make my service listen on ipv6 but i can't make it work, if I enter :: in host i get an error in on server.Start()
Only Uri prefixes with a valid hostname are supported
Is this by design or am I just to stupid?

You should be able to listen on a specific IPv6 address, ::1 for localhost, or * (or null) for any IPv4 or IPv6 address.

If I do the version with * under ubuntu 24.4 I only get a listen on ipv4, I have doen that with the predecessor of watson, that worked.
Is there a version for ipV6 with anycast?

Can you send a full stacktrace? This exception isn't coming from the WatsonTcp library.

Yes, sorry i noticed, this morning but wasn't able to move it to watsonwebserver

The WebserverSettings object accepts a hostname. The value you are entering is for the hostname on which to listen, not the underlying IP (e.g. mydomainname.com). So if you use *, and a request comes in on an IPv6 network, it will work. Watson doesn't interact with OSI layer 3 (it uses http.sys) so whatever the OS supports will be supported.
