convert.todatetime with null value

Description

The documentation indicates that a null value will return .minvalue. But I receive a conversion error in vb.net: "Object cannot be cast from DBNull to other types."

When using VB.NET, null values are represented by Nothing. It sounds like you were using DBNull.Value.

This difference can be confusing but it's important to distinguish between the two.

Try using Nothing and you should get the expected behavior.
