Request for Feedback: .NET Monitor Image Refactor for .NET 8 to Support Extensibility Scenarios

A discussion has been created in the dotnet/dotnet-monitor repository where the .NET Monitor image is planned to be split into two images: a base image containing the .NET Monitor tool and a extending image that contains the .NET Monitor extensions; the latter will replace the current .NET Monitor image found at mcr.microsoft.com/dotnet/monitor:8* and is functionally equivalent to the existing images.

We'd appreciate any feedback from the .NET Docker team as well as any users of the .NET Monitor image.
