.NET 9 Preview 1 Release

Container images for .NET 9 Preview 1 have been published.

.NET 9 container images contain all of the same features as .NET 8 container images, including:

• Non-root user included by default
• Ubuntu Chiseled Images
• ASP.NET Core Composite Images

.NET 9 Preview container images are available for the following OSes:

• Debian 12 (bookworm)
• Ubuntu 22.04 (jammy)
• Alpine 3.19
• Azure Linux/CBL Mariner 2.0
• Nano Server 1809 and 2022
• Windows Server Core 2019 and 2022

Additionally, we plan to move Ubuntu images to 24.04 (noble) for .NET 9 Preview 2 (#5181).
