Scheduled end of support for dotnet/core/samples repo

On November 12, 2024, the images in the mcr.microsoft.com/dotnet/core/samples repo will no longer be maintained. This means they will continue to be available but will no longer be kept up-to-date with the latest software. This impacts the following image tags:

If you reference any of the above tags, you can continue to use maintained images by removing the core portion of the repo name so that it references just the dotnet/samples repo:

Background

The dotnet/core/samples is a legacy repository that had been replaced by the dotnet/samples repo for the .NET 5 release. For the past four years, the above images have been syndicated across the repos in order to support customers that needed time to migrate. This syndication will end on November 12, 2024 in order to modernize the infrastructure used to maintain the official .NET container images.
